Children's Ministry

We are so excited to have added Victoria Gilmore to our staff in the Fall of 2016 to work full-time with children and youth.

Victoria brings many years of experience in children's ministry to Foothill.  She is leading our youth group, teaching Confirmation, helps teach Sunday School, and preaches excellently too!

Contact Pastor Victoria at here to learn more about our offerings and programs for children and youth.

  • Babies and Toddlers

Qualified staff are available in the church nursery on Sundays during worship and adult forum, and also during other church-wide events such as potlucks.  There is plenty of room to play, learn, and explore in our welcoming nursery.  Contact Pastor Victoria in advance if you plan to bring children along so we can staff the nursery to the right level for them!

  • Nursing Moms

Nursing moms will find a comfortable and quiet area in the Lounge Area by the women's restroom.  There is also a private room in the church nursery.

  • Godly Play Sunday School: 4 years through 2nd Grade

Children LOVE this experiential curriculum that invites them to participate in God's story.

    WHAT IS GODLY PLAY?

The result of a lifetime of research and practice by theologian, author and educator The Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman, the Godly Play method is a curriculum of spiritual practice exploring the mystery of God’s presence in our lives. The curriculum engages what is most exciting about religious education: God inviting us into--and pursuing us in the midst of--Scripture and spiritual experience. Godly Play practice teaches us to listen for God and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives.

Godly Play is a creative, imaginative approach to Christian formation and spiritual guidance.

Godly Play has a foundation of 40+ years of research and practice.

Godly Play values process, openness, discovery, community and relationships.

Godly Play models the worship life, stories, symbols and rituals of Christian congregations.

Godly Play allows practitioners to make relevant and personal theological meaning.

Godly Play nurtures participants to larger dimensions of belief and faith through wondering and play.

  • 3rd thru 5th Grade Sunday School

Our older kids are using a more traditional Sunday School curriculum that emphasizes discovery of the scriptures and application to life, with energetic classroom time and an emphasis on faith formation.

  • Middle School Sunday School

6th - 8th graders alternate weekly between attending Sunday School with our awesome adult volunteer Duane Fowler and worshiping with their parents.  Duane always brings an interesting activity related to the Bible lesson he prepares.  Our middle schoolers love it!

  • High School Sunday School

9th - 12th graders meet on alternate weeks from Middle Schoolers.  Duane and others keep them in the word and equipped to face the challenges of being a teenager.
